inevitably, I would have to make my own page where my contents wouldn’t risk being deleted and today is that day.

perhaps it’s the worry about journaling and blogging companies be bought out by third-party things losing sight of their mission or really just not being able to trust the process. My brother helped me get started here and finding a cadence will be the beginning of this, so please excuse the awkwardness of the start and know that the regularity of content will make up for any weird vibes.

I think a major driver was my wife’s uncle who started his own legal company about blogging and the need for this thought leadership, though I despise the LinkedIn terminology. But there is something to be said about finding your voice and putting something out there. From that side of the family, I also struggle to see that the kids don’t post anymore. There is no permanence about putting yourself out there and presenting a viewpoint, analysis, simply creating. We are now in the consuming of media mode. I found the most hilarious dating profile discussion about how consuming media and watching Netflix is now considered a hobby.

i’m not entirely sure on how social media has warped us to only see the highest quality, the most refined, the airbrushed versions of ourselves. And in doing so it has eliminated the creative urge to create. I find it sad, I really do. Maybe that’s the legacy and me of us not having kids that something should live past me, and I have a perspective in things to say that are not just rinse and repeated like copying a dance and being derivative

I suppose the cynic and me says the only reason you do things about art is that it ties into a business, but I’ll have enough people to remind me of that anyway. I don’t need to also be in that corner of the peanut gall

so I guess in an introductory post my job is to say hello, and that there will be more than muses in the future, and I’ll let you soak those up as they arrive. Welcome to the gallery, I hope you spend a little time and soak up some knowledge
